Marketing Analyst

Company Profile:

A plastics and rubber manufacturer is looking for a Marketing Analyst who is a strategic thinker with love for data mining and market research to drive better decisions in manufacturing and operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data analysis and research to determine trends, insights and performance metrics to inform decisions.

  • Share ideas/ data/ feedback across all departments to help improve outcomes and optimize performance.

  • Work with Leadership to explore and develop hypotheses for detailed data analysis and market research.

  • Conduct analysis and research and present findings and insights to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Participate in cross-functional strategic planning, present insights from Redwood’s database, digital landscape, competitive intelligence, and data from our clients' businesses together into impactful, integrated strategies for growth.

  • Identify Sales trends and opportunities for growth by examining the company’s database by customer/ salesperson/ branch/ product/ target market.

  • Monitor sales activities to identify gaps/ opportunities. Use performance management tools to measure Sales and Account Management performance and coaching opportunities.

  • Develop hypotheses and predictive methodologies to support implementation of Sales action plans and future trends.

  • Conduct meaningful research to enhance Sales insights of high impact opportunities including target customers/ markets/ competitors.

  • Provide ongoing Sales analysis and research to increase market penetration and cross-selling opportunities. Host regular meetings with Sales teams and Leadership to share insights discuss recommendations and support action plan implementation.

  • Key contributor to a Market Driven Task Force, leading CRM- Client Relationship Management impact. investment. Conduct data analysis and market research to understand trends for increased Market penetration, Cross-selling and new Product innovation.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, IT and Finance and provide data analysis and research as requested.

  • Complete data analysis and market research as requested to support Redwood’s vision: Data Informs Strategy


Skills, Education and Experience:

  • University or College degree in Business related field (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Finance, Engineering), prefer MBA

  • 2+yrs professional experience in similar Analyst, Research, Consulting, Strategic Business support role with demonstrated success in driving and influencing strategic, data-driven decision making

  • Strong analytical mindset, insatiable curiosity, creative problem-solving skills, and self-motivated to dig deeper into data / trends to drive impactful insights, always asking ‘so what’ when looking at data or analyses

  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Confident, articulate and comfortable making their strategic viewpoints heard. A credible storyteller, able to convey with impact

  • Highly collaborative, personable team player with the capability to interact across all levels and stakeholders to support proactive, strategic decision-making

  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and statistical abilities and proficiency in MS Excel, SAS or other SQL software, PowerPoint and Power BI

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work

  • Results-oriented, strong work ethic, proven project management skills with ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously

  • A fast learner with the ability to take initial direction and self-manage to complete assignments on time and to expectations. Passion and willingness to learn new tools and strategies, with a quick uptake time
